Parent Child Therapy

Parent and child standing next to each other

I look at a family as a system. When one member of the system is having problems, whether it’s behavior, illness, relationship issues or something else that affects the cohesiveness of the system, everyone should be involved in the intervention for the system. Specifically, if a child needs to make changes in their behavior, generally speaking, the whole system, or family, need to assess their behavior and make necessary changes. When a member of the system is reactive then the other members respond in a reactive manner. Every family has unique needs. All of the services I provide will be developed on an individual basis to meet the needs of the person and the system, the family.
